The First Iberian Bamboo Simposum will be in Madrid at Eduardo Torroja Instutute of Science and Construction next 1st of October,
The event is irganized by Inbar and Bambusa. Our partner Verónica Sancho, architect of Technical Department of GUBIA Group, will participated with a presentation of our work with this material.
Continents such as Asia and America know the many benefits of bamboo a long time ago, but others as Europe begin now to use it. The industrialized processes of transforming bamboo cane into construction products such as bamboo panels, bamboo veneers, bamboo flooring… have valued high qualities of the material in western architecture: acoustics, resistance, durability, stability…
We will show photographs of some of our projects with bamboo: Centre Pompidou in Málaga, Oratory in Retamar School in Madrid, General Treasury of the Social Security in Motril, Loyola Univeristy in Seville… In these projects bamboo has contributed to the LEED stamp of the building, with advantages that other construction materials don´t have
