The interior of New General Treasury of Social Security in Motril has been designed with bamboo. In contrast to the cold and grey concret skin outside, GUBIA´s bamboo is used in wall panelings, ceilings and flooring.
The building is located in the crossroad between South and Middleday rounds of the city, next to other state buildings. A singular pórtico made of bamboo slats is the acces to the interior.
Three patios organize the interior space making interesting spatial relations between different floors and alow the light goes through them. Bamboo slats paneling and bamboo slats ceiling cover these patios.
A bamboo raised flloring from Polygroup is installed in the 2000 m2 of the offices. The linear design of bamboo achieve a continuity between flloring and bamboo wall paneling where flush to wall doors are integrated.
