Celosía fija y corredera de madera termo-tratada en fachada

This luxury residential complex is located in the exceptional and sun-blesses of Paseo de Mallorca.

The building has been designed in accordance to Passivhaus standars seeking the greastest energy efficiency. The bedroom area of the houses are protected by a solid facade of GRC while the day areas have a wooden brise soleil as a solar filter. This wooden facade is an allegory to the traditional Majorcan carpentry.

The facade has been made of PEFC European pine thermally modified becasuse of the proximity to the sea. This treatment gives the wood minimal contractions and expansion movements. Vertical wooden slats brushed on all sides, with different sections and separations, are fixed to an anodized aluminum frame. More than 350 fixed and sliding wooden panels change the vision of the building continually and act as a solar filter.

We have designed a sliding system composed of bearings and lower guides in AISI 316 stainless steel. The opening and closing of the panels is ensuring by magnets with diffrente attractions forces. (+)
