LA TOCA VILLA

Marbella

Architect:

AMES arquitectos

Installed products:

wooden facade, floor-to-ceiling custom made doors and wardrobes, bespoke furniture

This villa in Marbella´s coast is different to the others, its wooden facade contrasts with the white walls and glass of the rest. The shapes of the slooping roof of the old property have been conserved, giving it a new image with a dark wooden facade.

We have used WBP phenolic panels finished in natural wenge wooden veneer fixed to wooden battens. Floor to ceiling panels are separated at the top and bottom, allowing the ventilation of rear chamber. The edges od the boards are protected with epoxy resins and we have used a pore saturator as finishing with an easy maintance.

Inside, the client has chosen wooden carpentry similar to outside, floor-to-ceiling wenge doors, GUBIA minimal door system® model, without flashings, leaving the frame completely flush to wall. Wardrobes are designed in the same way, with milled handles in doors.

Singular elements such as a wooden latticework around the staircase and custom-made furniture are part of the design of this dream villa.
