The “crown” of Torre Titania, occupied by the audit, consulting and professional services EY group, will be transformed in a few months in the room of communication and marketing events with the best views of all Madrid.
The project, designed by the project department of El Corte Inglés, has been adviced by the technical department of GUBIA Group. The polyhedrical shape of this space will be covering in a conical one with strips of bamboo GUBIA BSP 38CV, 60x38mm, placed with a minimal separation between them. 84 wooden trusses classified by levels in different radii and curvatures will be the base of this coating. The first of them has already been tested in our laboratory.
GUBIA´s bamboo does not need protection for the class 2, according to standards EN 355.1 and EN 355.2 _interior with occasional humidity higher than 20% _. It will be treated with a colorless saturator contrasting to the black lacquer of the polyhedrical covering of the staircase area.
