Villa La Toca in Marbella

Villa La Toca in Marbella

Architects: AMES

Building company: Hecobuilding

Woodworks: wooden facade, custom carpentry, bespoke furniture

This villa in Marbella´s coast is different to the others, its wooden facade contrasts with the white walls and glass of the rest. The architecture studio AMES has conserved the shapes of the slooping roof of the old property giving it a new image where the wood covers a great part of its facade.

We have designed a ventilated chamber behind the WBP phenolic plywood panels, finished in wengue. The pieces have been installed from floor to ceiling separated from the base and protected all the edges with sealing products. A saturator has been applied as covering with an easy maintance, only cleaning and application of the same saturator.

Inside, the custom carpentry has been made of wengue wood. The client has chosen doors and front cabinets, model GUBIA minimal door system, without flashing so the frame is completely flush to wall.

The singular wooden lattice surrounds the staircase and bespoke furniture are part of the design of this luxury villa. (+)

Architects: Pedro Llorente

Woodworkswooden facade, custom carpentry, bamboo panelling, irocco deck

This guest pavilion is part of a large rural villa, in a village near to Seville.

Its beatiful facade, made of thermowood pine, is the result of a long time of research that begins with a similar project for a villa designed for the architecture studio Vicens&Ramos in Marbella. Years of test with thermowood from different origins, plywood boards form different manufacturers, hanging and anchoring systems, exterior finisihing of easy maintenance… have been done to achieve a facade where each element could be easily replaced or remove.

Part of the interior in the villa is panelling with bamboo: floor to ceiling sliding doors, ceilings, custom furniture… Elegant, warm and beatiful coatings.

Woodworks:Wall Paneling, Stair Design, kitchen and bathroom

Solid cumaru flooring and a singular wall paneling with etimoe wood are employed in the design of the circulation spaces of this villa in the heart of Marbella.  The principal stair is a sculpture object covered with natural wooden panels too.

The kitchen, open to the dining room, is designed with microcement and white lacquered panels. These colors contrast with the honey color of the solid wood.

Zebrano veneer is used in the main bathroom.

There are several wooden elements that give warmth to this architecture of simple lines, the difference with other villas in the area is that incorporates a wooden facade finished in wengue, WBP phenolic plywood boards finished with natural wood veneer.  Floor to ceiling doors are incoporated to this paneling.

Our technical department has developed all constructive details next to AMES architects, the ventilation systems in the camera, the protection of the boards with sealing products, the separation of the boards to the floor …

Architects and clients has chosen our Minimal Door System for the interior carpentry, doors from ceiling to floor without beadings, with only a difference, a superior piece between the perimeter cavities of the rooms. All the carpentry, doors, wardrobes, furniture have been made of wengue wood, using black fittings in contrast to the white of the rest of coatings.
