New materials, construction systems and forms begin to be considered for its optimization and execution.<\/p>\r\n<p>The wooden ceiling is one of these aspects, conceived as a hexagonal matrix that is repeated and trimmed against the walls where it is located. It is a key element in the design that incorporates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viabizzuno.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Viabizuno<\/strong><\/a>&#8216;s own lighting system. The choice of material, the weight of the slats of each hexagon and the supporting substructure are part of a new research.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2533\" src=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-revestimiento-hexagonal-detalle.jpg\" alt=\"Analysis and planimetry of the Hexogonal Design ceiling\" width=\"1094\" height=\"730\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-revestimiento-hexagonal-detalle.jpg 1094w, https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-revestimiento-hexagonal-detalle-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1094px) 100vw, 1094px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">First approximations &#8211; GUBIA Hexagonal Design<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p>Some initial sketches and calculations lead to the manufacture of the first models. They are composed of a wooden structure that is later transformed into a metallic hexagon divided into equilateral triangles. The solid bamboo slats, measuring 70x19mm and with a separation between them of 70mm, are pre-drilled in <a href=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/en\/advantages-of-cnc-woodmachinery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CNC<\/strong><\/a> and mechanically anchored to the structure showing its particular edge.<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2534\" src=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-revestimiento-hexagonal-modulo.jpg\" alt=\"Models produced in the workshop\" width=\"1095\" height=\"730\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-revestimiento-hexagonal-modulo.jpg 1095w, https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-revestimiento-hexagonal-modulo-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1095px) 100vw, 1095px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>The initial elaboration of a hexagon and two halves allows us to study the union between pieces, separators that are assembled facilitating the alignment and the subsequent registration of each roof hexagon. This is a first approach that allows us to make corrections to the model. That makes possible to study of production times, balance CNC machining times and craft work, see real behaviors of the model&#8230;<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2535\" src=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/4-revestimiento-hexagonal-maqueta.jpg\" alt=\"Basic assembly module\" width=\"1085\" height=\"702\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/4-revestimiento-hexagonal-maqueta.jpg 1085w, https:\/\/grupogubia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/4-revestimiento-hexagonal-maqueta-768x497.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1085px) 100vw, 1085px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Due to the large surface to be covered, a larger grid is produced, for a better understanding of the module within the global design grid.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Since on-site assembly is key to controlling final costs, the improved model is assembled on site.
