After last year’s intervention in the Royal Hall, our team returns with great enthusiasm, commitment and seriousness to work in these palatial spaces. Marked by marble floors and bohemian bronze and crystal chandeliers, the acoustic and thermal improvements of these spaces include the replica of traditional wooden carpentry, distinguished by the details of their construction period, on the 1929 exhibition.

Singular carpentry

The manufacture of this type of woodwork involves a meticulous and detailed process of reproduction. The aim is to preserve the beauty and the original character of these wooden elements, as well as the precise technology for their adaptation to meet the high and current standards of quality and comfort.

Wood chosen and cut according to arch template.

Grupo GUBIA’s carpentry officers are already in our workshops working and carving wood. Once again, iroko wood, from sustainable forest management, is the species that will give shape to the new woodwork.

The production plans for each of the elements have almost been finished. The on-site measurements of the individual curved elements have been transferred to AutoCAD and translated into CAD/CAM language. This method is used to transfer the shape of these imposing arches as accurately as possible to our numerical control center.

The exterior carpentry of the Alfonso XIII Hotel is an element of great value for the building due to its singularity and hierarchy in all its facades. We are pleased to be able to contribute our experience and performance in this new work together with the hotel management, who have not hesitated to contact Grupo GUBIA again for this purpose.
